So my man and I, being the big Hell's-Kitchen-Gordon-Ramsay-celebrity-chef fans that we are, decide to go out last night for a bite to eat at Gordon Ramsay's latest place on W. 54th Street called Maze.
We went with the 6 course chef's selection. I must say, 4 out of the 6 courses were dreadfully awful. I felt like barging into the kitchen and screaming "YOU STUPID DONKEY!" in a thick brittish accent. don't think they would have found the humor in it though.
Their saving grace was the cocktail and wine selection. It makes me laugh out loud when I eat at places that have the balls to charge $4,200.00 for a glass of 1942 port.
I prefer a $9 bottle of Pindar and take-out from my local sushi joint any day over that meal. Guess I'm a simple gal.

Mystery Boats
Woke up this morning to find a boat in my backyard. It's not mine. More to come....
Buying a house...
So it looks like we might finally be buying a house! I'm a bit excited and nervous, because it's a crappy time to be making a real estate investment. The prices of homes around here have dropped like $85K in the past year. Hopefully they won't continue to de-value and I'm hopping in the game at just the right time.
The engineer inspects tomorrow morning, and if all goes well, we sign contracts Friday! 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 full eat in kitchens, hardwood floors. But it's really ugly from the outside, which is why we're getting such a good deal.
Anyone know of anyone looking for a 3 bedroom apartment to rent?

Good Times Magazine
So I'm shoppin' in Looney Tunes today, tryin' to avoid the metal guys who are already on line to see the Queensryche acoustic performance tonight, and I glance my name on the front cover of Good Times Magazine. I found this particularly intriguing, since I haven't had a gig in quite some time, and I've never spoken to anyone from Good Times. But sure enough, there's a blurb about me in there. pretty neat. Makes me want to finish my album in a hurry so I can hit the scene again.
Yay! computer!
All the parts finally arrived, and afer a brief derailment curtesy of two defective motherboards, we're up & running! I finished throwing it together this weekend, and I installed Windows XP last night (cause Vista sucks).
Strong Enough to Break
I've never been a big fan of Hanson (yea, those "Mmm, bop" kids from the 90's). But after seeing the documentary they made about the decline of the music business, i've gained a newfound respect for them. "Strong Enough to Break" is a documentary about their struggle to get their album released by the major label, and the way they hande themselves at such a young age under such intense pressure. Fun starts about 3 minutes into it. Enjoy.
